The process of identifying the root cause of a problem, correcting it, preventing recurrence and checking that the action was effective.
CAPA follows a deviation such as a temperature excursion, addressing the cause rather than just the immediate event.
A meaningful CAPA has a real root cause and an effectiveness check, not a box tick.
