Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA)

Also: WDA, WDA(H)

A licence authorising a company to procure, hold, supply or export medicinal products by wholesale, held under GDP with a named Responsible Person.

In the UK this is the WDA(H). Equivalent wholesale authorisations exist across the EU and other jurisdictions.

A WDA allows a distributor to move authorised medicines by wholesale, as distinct from a manufacturing or import authorisation.
