Audit Trail
A secure, time-stamped, computer-generated record of every create, change and delete to a record, that does not obscure previous information.
Under Part 11 and Annex 11 the audit trail must be retained as long as the record and protected against alteration.
An audit trail that can be edited is not trustworthy, and neither is the record it describes.
